AGC VT Best Builders Award 2019 “Outstanding Quality of Work and Effort”

North Branch Fire District #1 WWTF- West Dover, VT

The 2019 AGC award was given for work done at the West Dover Wastewater Treatment Plant which was constructed over 18 months. Unforeseen groundwater caused significant delay in lining the clearwater holding pond.

Another component, as bid, contemplated construction of two clarifiers over the contract time. As a result of the delays in completing the holding pond, an alternate plan would be required.

Kingsbury was notified that one of the new clarifiers needed to be completed and the second converted to a temporary storage tank within three weeks to maintain treatment standards during winter peak flows.  Subsequently a monumental effort was undertaken to meet new requirements.
