South Hero STP EH08 – Ferry Docks, South Hero, VT

We met the challenge of a difficult job by providing larger, more accommodating, docks and landings for the non-profit group Local Motion‘s new 20 person ferry on the old railway bed crossing Lake Champlain between South Hero and Colchester Vermont.

Our Design/Build solution increased the usable dock areas while respecting heavy pedestrian traffic, harsh weather, 6 miles of one-way access, archeologically sensitive underwater areas and other submerged obstacles. We also saved 10% on the overall budget.
